Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has allowed her to get a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. The family moved from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she was married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. When on vacation Antonietta was staying at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered a new job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it had the program she desired. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the college. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU, of which she's a member. They formed a strong connection. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism.
